Compliance & Regulations

Agchange enforces Texas-only animal transactions and marketplace document workflows. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for legal compliance.

Texas-Only Animal Transactions

To ensure compliance with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) regulations:

  • All animal listings must be located in Texas
  • Only Texas residents can bid on or purchase animal listings
  • Buyers must have a Texas address in their profile
  • Equipment listings are exempt and can be multi-state

Prohibited Items

  • Venison, deer meat, or any processed game meat
  • Hunting tags, licenses, or permits for sale
  • Wild whitetail deer (must be from licensed breeder facilities)
  • Any listing attempting to circumvent TPWD regulations

Whitetail Breeder Requirements

TPWD Breeder Permit & Transfer Approval Required

Listing Requirements:

  • Valid TPWD Breeder Permit Number
  • Breeder Facility ID
  • Deer ID Tag
  • CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) disclosure acknowledgment
  • TPWD Breeder Permit document upload (verified by admin before listing goes live)

Transfer Approval (Whitetail Compliance):

For whitetail breeder sales, sellers must upload a verified TPWD Transfer Approval document to satisfy TPWD transfer regulations. Sellers are paid via Stripe when the buyer pays; Agchange does not hold or release funds.

How It Works:

  1. Seller creates listing with TPWD permit information
  2. Seller uploads TPWD Breeder Permit document
  3. Admin reviews and verifies permit document
  4. Listing goes live after admin approval
  5. After sale, seller uploads TPWD Transfer Approval for compliance
  6. Admin verifies transfer approval
  7. Order compliance is complete (sellers receive funds via Stripe when the buyer pays; we do not hold or release payouts)
